The Auckland City Mission’s Santa’s Helpers Appeal

Our Auckland team are taking part in the Auckland City Mission’s Santa’s Helpers Appeal by collecting donations of funds, non-perishable food and/or new, unwrapped Christmas gifts.

In 2016, organisations around Auckland helped the Mission to distribute 8,000 gifts to children in our community, arranged thousands of emergency food parcels, and put on an unforgettable Christmas Lunch for 2,000 guests.

If you would like to join us in supporting this amazing initiative we have set up a collection point in our reception. From Monday 27 November until Friday 15 December you can drop off non-perishable food items and Christmas gifts at Level 1, 1 Vinegar Lane, Grey Lynn. The team  will take everything down to the Mission on Monday 18 December.

Gifts for all ages and genders are hugely appreciated (including items for adults and teenagers), and the Mission suggests a budget of $10-$20 per gift. They ask that gifts are donated unwrapped, but donations of wrapping paper and tape are also greatly appreciated.

Please join us in helping to make this a wonderful Christmas for struggling Auckland families. If you would like more information about this appeal or presents and food donations ideas please contact Susan on slord@welovesalt.com or 64 (09) 968 8477.
