Senior Designer / Developer – Up to £65k!!

My client are a leading FinTech firm doing some incredible disruptive work within the sector. They are currently looking for a key hire to join their ever expanding team. The Web Designer/ Developer they require wil be a rare breed. The perfect blend of developer and designer in one super smart individual who will own the brand experience across my clients digital landscape. Equally comfortable talking tech with our developers as they are ROI and campaign analytics with marketing, this role sits at the heart of my client’s growth plans for 2017 and beyond.

The Details…


  • Bring our brand to life and create an amazing user experience across our EMEA and US websites and our Help and Developer Centres.
  • Oversee the delivery of website projects, leading on designs that meet web standards including accessibility, ensuring that key standards are met from the outset
  • Work with the Marketing team to create new landing pages, banners, page templates etc. Challenge the existing web template designs against objectives and work with the Campaign Managers to drive conversions.
  • Have a data-centric approach to web/platform development, communications and social, strategically optimising our digital channels through A/B testing and continuously monitoring performance.
  • Work with our campaign managers to boost organic traffic, improving online visibility, and driving SEO through well designed and executed content and social strategies.
  • Drive digital innovation and best practices, regularly sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Performance – manage weekly / monthly / seasonal targets, ensuring all traffic, conversions and costs are reported and in line with budget and that ROI is established and measured.

Help and Developer Centres

  • Work with key stakeholders to overhaul both our Help and Developer centres. End to end management of both projects, ensuring an intuitive user and consistent brand experience.
  • Ongoing management, maintenance and optimisation of both sites, coordinating content and collateral requirements with the marketing team and performance and customer needs with the rest of the business.


  • Review and manage platforms and tools where appropriate
  • Can troubleshoot application and system problems with limited support.
  • Report on effectiveness of SEO and identify problem areas that may affect search engine rankings.
  • Clear analysis and accurate campaign and ROI reporting, run scheduled and ad-hoc analytics reports
  • Complete any other ad hoc duties as needed.
  • Build and manage relationships internally particularly with marketing team members and sales.
  • Engage, share and connect with appropriate businesses, individuals and groups across our social media channels.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external agencies as and when required

  • Website traffic, conversions, bounce rates and engagement
  • MQL, SQL, Opps, Wins
  • L2O, O2W & L2L conversion and velocity
  • % leads within our key target markets
  • %leads with desired scoring/grading
  • Marketing ROI, Cost per lead and cost of acquisition
  • Email open rates, CTR and conversions

  • Feedback from Business leads and Executive teams
  • Living my client’s values and fulfilling a brand ambassadorial role


  • Demonstrable portfolio of managing digital marketing activities for a B2B organization, preferably within the technology industry (Saas / Paas).
  • Solid web design and developer experience including Responsive web development, UI design skills and creating and collaborating on wireframes, storyboards, user flows and site maps.
  • Proficient in Jekyll, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, XML, SEO, GIT / Git Flow, Rest APIs and JSON, WordPress theme & plugin development, JS & jQuery
  • Excellent Photoshop and InDesign experience
  • Analytically minded with the ability to interrogate and manipulate data and spot patterns, trends and opportunities
  • Excellent working knowledge of Google Analytics (monthly reporting analysis and follow-up)
  • Highly numerical with a desire for making data driven decisions
  • Well integrated in the developer community, active on developer forums and networks like Stackoverflow, GitHub. Forrst, Bettercodes etc.
  • Excellent business English writing skills,
  • Previous experience of working with 3rd parties ie: marketing/PR/content agencies etc
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit, with a strong sense of accountability and high level of attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
