Lead Client Partner – Motion Design – Herts – £45K


Hertfordshire Permanent £45000 per annum + Bonus


Our client specialises in the design and production of broadcast advertising and motion graphics for TV and digital campaigns. They have a range of skillsets that cover 2D, 3D, CGi, Animation, Motion Graphics, Live Action Integration, VFX and Post Production.

Due to continued growth within their studio they require a Lead Client Partner to be the ‘Client’s Voice’ in the studio. They’ll be continuously reviewing work from the client’s perspective; ensuring that they best understand the clients needs and wants.

This position is a senior role within the company and a pivotal role in truly understanding the clients wants and needs, and helping to achieve longer and stronger client relationships.

The Lead Client Partner would need to have 8+ years professional experience in working on multiple key accounts and on TTL campaigns. With this, you need to have an in-depth technical knowledge of TV, online and print processes but experience in DRTV (Direct Response TV) is preferable.

The Role:

  • The candidate will own the client briefing stage of a project, as well as ignition meetings with the client; ensuring that every aspect of the brief is challenged and fully understood. What is it the client wants to achieve, and why?
  • Chairing/leading client calls and meetings; clearing showing that they are in control and know all the relevant detail on each specific project
  • Challenging the client when we need to, as well as protecting our internal tried and tested processes.
  • As a Lead the candidate will be the most senior member of the team when the Head of Client Services is not in the office, and, as a result, must be able to install confidence in the team, and inspire those Producers/Account Managers around them to go about their daily work with efficiency and productivity.
  • The candidate will be tasked with developing the team on a day-to-day basis; challenging individuals, suggesting specific training solutions and personal development targets.
  • The candidate will be managing the KPI and quarterly reviews of the Client Services team.
  • They must lead the way in helping to create high-end cutting edge DRTV ad campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to run conference calls, client meetings and production sessions
  • Challenge all decisions across production, with robust confidence in their ability understand the detail of the issue
  • Working closely with the Head of Studio Operations ensuring that all work is managed and foreseeing any potential issues before they arise
  • Ability to digest and discuss briefs from the client
  • Help Head of Client Services to develop both the Client Service team, and it’s individuals
  • Regular client liaising, attending potential client visits with the H/O CPS
  • Work closely with Lead Motion Designers on studio production
  • Project manage the process from start to finish through agreed process.

The Candidate:

  • Ability to lead a team of producers
  • Ability to digest and discuss briefs from the client
  • Must be confident in front of clients and creative partners
  • Daily production meetings with Head of CPS to discuss deadlines
  • To manage all jobs through the studio and keep Account Director and clients up to date with progress
  • Manage relationships including uploading scripts and working with client to ensure clear substantiations are provided on time
  • Supply monthly/quarterly updated financial report to the Head of Client Services
  • Work closely with CD on studio production
  • Project manage the process from start to finish through agreed process.
  • Plan 6 months delivery schedule – manage budgets/finance trackers – Manage production sheets, Ad and brand archives
