Salt has partnered with a Not-For-Profit organisation, looking for a Web Editor to join their team.
You’ll join them on a 6-month FTC to start, looking to extend further and/or evaluate perm. A key focus of the role will be on managing and finessing digital content for the flagship magazine, as well as developing ideas to promote articles and video across channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with the Web Editor, edit and publish content to new website (to be launched in early July), principally the core site and secondary pages
- Working with the Digital Communications Manager, and the Editors, develop ways to enhance the digital editorial content, using analytics and best practice to inform decision-making
- Take ownership of content population of the app to ensure high quality and consistency
- Develop ideas on how to promote Psychologist and Research Digest content in other channels, including social and email
- Build monthly and weekly emails
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of editing and publishing digital content across all online channels, with an ability to write for web
- Demonstrable experience of using analytics, metrics and user feedback to define/refine content and report on trends
- Experience in using search engine optimisation (SEO)
- Experience of working within a digital environment, picture sourcing and editing, managing multimedia assets such as audio and video
- Knowledge of content management systems
- Understanding of web accessibility
