Digital Design Manager – UX / UI – Up to £50k!

My client are a leading research & development company who now have offices and labs in the UK, the US, China and Japan, and as they continue to grow, we remain ambitious, driven by their customers’ success and their research needs.

The Role:

This key role will provide inspiration, creativity and organisation to the design and digital marketing team. Reporting to and supported by the Head of User Experience & Design, the Digital Design Manager will contribute to and co-ordinate the output of the digital design team, whilst demonstrating a commitment to high standards of delivery.

The role offers an opportunity to exhibit studious design skill and an excellent eye for detail. As a key creative influencer across the business, the Digital Design Manager contributes to conceptual campaigns that resonate with their target audience and differentiates the business from the competition.


  • Management and development of in-house design team
  • Regular team and individual progress reviews, setting quarterly objectives and a clear expectation, providing feedback and guidance?
  • Assist with external creative service provider management, ensuring teams have access to the creative services and support they need
  • Develop an approach that empowers the team and individuals to deliver to a high standard that is both creative and attention grabbing?
  • Create compelling design and brand communications that encourages customer engagement, conversion and brand loyalty?
  • Engage in internal and external client liaison for a strong understanding of requirements, objectives and expectations
  • Approval of in-house and external creative output
  • Communicate written and verbal design briefs to internal and external teams and sourcing of requirements
  • Work closely with the wider integrated and digital marketing teams to align team capacity and maximise each marketing opportunity

About you

The ideal candidate will be an experienced design practitioner that thrives on setting the design pace and possess a high-level of creative thinking as well as the design instinct to anticipate outcomes. You should have extensive digital design experience within a multi-channel environment and be engaged and inspired by all areas of the design industry, staying one step ahead of competitors by researching current media trends. Design and campaign work samples may be requested during the interview process.

You will possess excellent communications skills and have confidence to share and present ideas to stakeholders at all levels across the organisation. You’ll have strong management skills and have the ability to inspire and motivate teams to explore new ways of working.
