User Experience Director | Central London | Digital Agency | £70K-£90K | Start ASAP

I am working with a Digital Agency based in Central London who have a fantastic offering, a great team of passionate and creative minds, nice office space and a very holistic and dynamic nature. My client are looking to further and better their UX practice and offering by employing a Director of User Experience to further grow and expand the existing team, aid and lead on pitches for new projects and win new business. Alongside everything you’d typically expect, we are seeking someone who wishes to remain hands-on!


We seek someone who is not only passionate about designing brilliant experiences, but also a champion of applying user-centred design to solve complex problems. The role will work across various life-cycle stages, from initial concept to delivery and beyond. The team will look to you for expertise in both hands-on production and direction in guiding the following: UX strategy, research, and design. As a senior member of the company, you will provide leadership across the UX practice and be an integral part of guiding the different clients.

The Role:

  • Lead and represent the team in presentations, pitch work and business development
  • Run workshops for clients and business stakeholders to define product visions and experience strategies
  • Define and lead product-thinking and user experience strategies
  • Have the ability to translate user research and requirements into end-to-end user experience deliverables: audits, personas, journeys, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, specifications, test plans, test reports.
  • Recruit, lead and mentor a high-performing user experience team
  • Have a strong understanding of Service Design and install a sense of ‘the bigger picture’ onto the team


The client are open to considering applications from people at Lead/Manager level who are ready and eager to move in to a Head Of/Director role.

  • Previous agency experience
  • Excellent abilities in using and knowledge of UX tools such as Omnigraffle, Axure, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Marvel etc…
  • Experience working with researchers and strategists to deliver research plans, moderate test sessions and report findings
  • Experience across best practice in User Research, UX Design and Service Design
  • Ability to implement a company wide User Experience process
