Product Marketing Manager (Advertising Technology) – London – £60-70K plus Bonus

THE COMPANY

My client is a content monetisation platform for online publishers (including editorial sites, forums, bloggers, social networks and app developers) that specialises in in-text, context advertising.

The company was launched in London in 2007 and boasts over 80 employees across London and New York.

THE ROLE

As Product Marketing Manager you will be responsible for telling the world the story of our products. Working closely with the marketing, sales and products teams, you will lead customer research and conceive and develop innovative marketing programs for bringing new demand generating products, features and services to market.

My client is a global e-commerce monetization and analytics platform; working with clients like Conde Nast, Hearst Magazines, Time Inc and connect them with leading brands and retailers like Net-A-Porter, Amazon, Macys etc. They are a cutting-edge technology company developing applications and platforms that are disrupting the e-commerce and adtech markets.

They are processing 7B page impressions a month across 1.5MM active websites and 20,000 merchants. Last year over $625 million of e-commerce transactions went through our platform. We have raised over $16 million in recent venture funding with well-known investors such as Frog Capital, Greycroft, BDMI and many well-known angels and advisors

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • You will develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our company by understanding customer needs, product roadmap, market trends, and competitive forces
  • Lead and execute content creation efforts (e.g. sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, etc) to articulate the benefits of our products
  • Research customer lifecycle and personas by product line – mapping to key sales and marketing activity
  • Measure and optimise the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage
  • Together with the product team, you will educate and excite both internal and external partners on our product features and their benefits
  • You will be the expert of your end user and provide feedback loop into the product and design teams on any insights on how to improve the overall experience
  • You will collaborate with Sales to understand ongoing enablement needs; create and execute an enablement program across training, competitive counter-tactics, and product education.

Please ONLY apply if you possess the following:

  • 6-8 years Product Marketing experience
  • Industry knowledge – some experience and understanding of the e-commerce, publishing, Adtech, MarTech, or B2B SaaS industries
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally effectively
  • Consistent track record performing well in a rapidly changing environment and organisational skills to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively
  • Solid cross-marketing knowledge – able and comfortable flexing into other marketing functions dependent on roadmap cycles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role
  • Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring the product to life
  • A sense of humour and grace under pressure
  • Degree in Marketing or equivalent working experience.
