CRO Manager – London – up to £40K

My client is a an exciting online investment company – a breath of fresh air in the stuffy world of Financial Services.

The Optimisation Specialist is a key commercial role responsible for managing programs to improve their website conversion rates and search engine rankings. This person is key to delivering the continuous improvement necessary to fuel my client’s growth ambitions and, as such, is a critical role on the acquisition team. Reporting to the digital marketing manager, this role will need to work closely with members of the commercial leadership team.

Role responsibilities:

  • Conversion rate optimisation, encompassing:
    • Managing the pipeline of A/B tests seeking to maximise impact while minimising investment required across all funnels – desktop, mobile web and mobile app
    • Collaborating with UX team to deliver tests on-time and to the highest standard via our A/B testing tool, Optimizely
    • Capturing and communicating learnings to the broader organisation to ensure they are incorporated in every relevant touchpoint
    • Researching the latest trends in design and conversion rate optimisation
    • Getting ‘under-the-hood’ of our website to understand user behaviour via our suite of analytics tools – Google Analytics, Heap Analytics, Hotjar and Looker
  • Search engine optimisation, encompassing:
    • Benchmarking and performance reporting via our SEO tool, Linkdex
    • Leading a program of continuous backlink improvements for targeted terms
    • Ongoing on-page keyword optimisation in coordination with PPC activities to find efficiencies.
    • Working with Communication teams to help influence and assist the creation of content, blogger outreach and identifying opportunities.
    • Prioritising and supporting delivery of technical SEO improvements to site codebase

Essential Skills:

  • A self-starter who is confident navigating the organisation to deliver on CRO/SEO goals
  • A highly numeric and analytical individual who is able to flex between big picture and detailed analysis, able to get under the skin of data to draw out meaningful, actionable and astute insight to drive brilliant business decisions.
  • A Test & Learn Mindset – the successful candidate will be able to build robust test & learn plans, and will be fleet of foot in order to quickly adapt to learning and a changing environment to optimise performance.
  • CRO and/or SEO experience. Experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Optimizely, Google Search console and/or Linkdex a plus
  • Education to degree level or above in a top university.
