Digital Experience Lead – Marketing – London

Greater London Contract / 3 months £40000 - £45000 per annum + PRO Rata

My client requires a Digital Experience Lead to join their Head of Marketing to lead on multiple customer-focused projects on a three-month contract.

The client has a portfolio of digital subscription products, providing business critical intelligence to global, regional and niche communities within five core industry sectors: Pharma & Healthcare; Finance; Telecoms, Media & Technology; Maritime & Law and Agribusiness & Commodities.


  • Own the digital user experience – focussed on enhancing the prospect and customer experience across multiple digital touch points, using robust analytics and applying a deep understanding of customer behaviour and UX principles
  • Build on existing personas and user journeys to define a picture of the vertical landscape, and plan a roadmap of actionable deliverables to increase conversion
  • Work with technical, content, product and marketing teams optimising existing customer journeys and platforms and developing new experiences
  • Create robust analytical reports, KPI’s and metrics to support decisions – communicating and reporting on a regular basis to wider business stakeholders
  • Become the vertical subject matter expert for digital customer experience and web analytics keeping up to date with the latest trends and developments
  • Work with digital experience leads across other verticals to support a new centre of excellence across digital experience, analytics and ecommerce
  • Deliver through a test and learn approach, continuously implementing changes and validating outcomes to maximise on marketing lead generation opportunities
  • Lead on the vertical and product SEO strategy to include audit of current landscape, onsite optimisation, offsite authority building and content optimisation
  • Lead on ecommerce approach for the vertical, focussing on improving user journeys and converting sales ready leads


  • Strong analytical skills with experience of using analytics packages including Google Analytics, A:B / MVT tools , SEO and monitoring tools
  • Proven experience designing digital and mobile experiences, supported by a good knowledge and application of web analytics and website optimisation
  • Experience working within multiple CMS environments including building and administering landing pages, content application and optimisation
  • Experience with ecommerce enhancements and utilising as a key sales channel
  • Experience managing and working alongside agencies to define and deliver against key objectives to drive performance
  • Experience in agile methodologies and approaches
