eCommerce Manager – Temp to Perm


City of London Contract £35000 - £42000 per annum

Ecommerce Manager | Immediate Start | Central London | Retail & Publishing

A digital publishing house that provide entertainment to a global audience is looking for a passionate Ecommerce Manager for this incredibly exciting role in their expanding team on a temp to perm basis.

Overall Purpose of the Ecommerce Manager role;

Taking responsibility of the day to day running of the ecommerce business and implementing digital strategies to optimise revenue and the user experience for the customers. Delivering site enhancements to improve overall ecommerce conversion, digital marketing and merchandising strategies for new and existing products.

Ecommerce Manager Key Responsibilities;

  • Manage the effective merchandising of products for the shop and website, creating engaging content to drive sales.
  • Create effective traffic driving campaigns with the internal team and 3rd party agencies.
  • Implement effective eCRM campaigns for their global audience with the view to increase sales.
  • Track overall shop performance and implement plans to increase conversation rate.
  • Analyse the customer journey, experience and sales funnel to optimise the site and increase conversation rate.
  • Support Directors on the development of new product lines, manage adding these products to the online shop and help develop promotional campaign.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide internal stakeholders with updates and potential action plans to stay ahead.

Ecommerce Manager Experience and skills required;

  • Strong ecommerce experience ideally in retail, entertainment or media business.
  • Experience using Shopify (or a similar ecommerce platform) as well as Google Analytics.
  • Experience developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns across a wide range of channels including email, paid search and social media.
  • Passionate about UX design and the customer journey.
  • Experience of developing engaging online merchandising for physical and digital products.
  • Strong organisational, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Highly numerate and analytical with strong Excel skills.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously over a variety of mediums.
