Head of Digital Strategy & Insights – M4 corridor – up to £95K plus Bonus (1 Year Contract)

THE COMPANY

My client is one of the leaders within the global consumer service industry. With a matrix organisation and many brands from technology to energy sitting under their remit; they are now looking to hire a Head of Digital Strategy & Insights who will sit within the commercial team, shaping the future direction of Digital through the use of digital, customer and market insight.

THE ROLE

Leading the planning function within Digital across all aspects (sales, self-service, operations, omni-channel) in the development of annual/3 year plans. You be responsible for ‘KPI management’ and developing planning/forecasting models.

Drive an analytical led approach across Digital, to inform decision making, investment appraisal and performance management. You will develop a digital strategy across core areas including mobile and social; working in conjunction with Digital heads to develop a pipeline of future innovation in digital products and services.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • You’ll manages the Strategy & Commercial team, shaping the direction of the Digital function through research and analytics
  • Leading the application of Data Analysis, Web Analytics and Business Intelligence tools and techniques to gain insight into the brand’s Digital space, informing decision making
  • Providing a strategic consultancy function with Digital to support wider Digital business objectives
  • You’ll identify opportunities for digital innovation by reviewing customer, digital technology and market trends – and makes recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Leading the Digital Strategy, including the 3 year plan and annual plan ensure alignment across all teams
  • Leading the team to engage and educate digital colleagues around the benefits of an analytics led approach to inform decision making, investment appraisal and performance management
  • Working with the Digital Director to effectively communicate Digital’s direction and performance, to both the Digital team and the wider community
  • Communicating the impact of Digital initiatives upon the contact centres and offline world
  • Manages relationships with research companies including Forrester, Gartner and e-consultancy to gain external insight into Digital trends and drive external benchmarking
  • You’ll manage the relationship with analytical platform providers.

Please ONLY apply if you possess the following:

  • Degree qualified or have equivalent experience
  • Significant (at least 8 years) experience digital strategy, planning and analytics
  • A proven track record of leveraging digital analytics to support commercial decision making
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • A strong understanding of revenue and cost drivers within a business function
  • Excellent data analysis interrogation and reporting skills
  • A demonstrable track record in developing business/digital strategy
  • Excellent business planning skills
  • First class communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Strong collaboratively, with excellent relationship management, networking and influencing skills
  • The capability to actively lead, seize responsibility and remain open to new ideas
  • Strong levels of self-drive and ‘can do’ attitude; ability to work independently.
