Salt are working with one of the largest and most influential brands in the UK, working to ensure continuity in their Insights & customer research function.

An opportunity has arisen for an exceptionally talented and extremely experienced insights professional (Head Of, Director) from a corporate background to join on an interim basis and help drive the insights function into 2018.

This role is an interesting split between influencing extremely senior people internally (VP’s, C-suite, MD, CEO, Heads of), and working hands on to carry out insights work.

  • Establish guidelines regarding customer and market research and analysis, including customer segmentation
  • Identify, disseminate, and drive adoption of internal and external best practices in generating and using customer and market insights to drive decisions
  • (As necessary) generate and communicate customer and market insights that the client needs to inform strategic decisions that cut across or sit outside of their current operations
  • Advises business units on conducting market and customer research and generating and using market and customer insights to drive business decisions
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within internal functions.

Candidate Profile:

  • Skilled in the application of customer and market insights to drive business decisions
  • Deep knowledge of customer and market research and analytical techniques, methodologies, and tools
  • Expertise in customer segmentation
  • Strong analytical skills, adept at distilling insights from complex data
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate complex topics simply and compellingly
  • Strong stakeholder management and influence skills; ability to navigate across and exert influence on multiple stakeholder groups
  • Results-oriented; adept at driving action based on insights
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and positive with a “can-do” attitude

Background/Work experience:

  • Experience leading customer and market insight team for large, multi-national company
  • Track record of driving business results through generation and communication of actionable insights
  • Experience building / strengthening customer and market research insight capability within a large, multi-national company
  • Experience developing customer segmentation and embedding it in business operations
  • Experience working across functional and organizational lines to deliver results
