Events and Marketing Executive – Oxford – up to 35K plus Bonus

I am working with a well-established brand that prides itself by connecting their customers and internet community globally. Established in 1996, they are growing fast with an anticipated workforce to exceed 200 by the end of the Q1 next year. With a visionary CEO and a great culture and team, this is a very exciting time to join!

Due to this expansion, they are now looking for an Events & Marketing Executive to join their team, reporting into the Head of Marketing. Based out of their Oxford office, this role will be responsible for the organisation, management and delivery of their busy events calendar (from webinars to global conferences and exhibitions).

Job Responsibilities

  • Ownership of all corporate and trade events from research all the way through to execution, including admin and briefing/training
  • Attending events with the responsibility for the smooth running of events, dealing with delegates and all event day operations
  • Closely liaising with other events and marketing executives to, effectively manage and take ownership of the events calendar, and maintaining communication with all stakeholders. Keeping to deadlines, managing workload, and ensuring efficient and effective processes and communication throughout
  • Ensuring that that the delivery of events is within the budget guidelines, and then evaluating the success of the events and compiling a report using marketing insights to see where future events can be improved
  • Working closely with the marketing team and creative, to guarantee marketing are correctly briefed created and produced on time, and within budget
  • Closely working with the content team for creation and delivery of social media, email campaigns and blogs
  • Support the marketing function for all initiatives when required.

Skills and requirements

  • Solid B2B industry marketing events experience (with technology industry being a bonus)
  • Looking for a minimum of 2-3 years of experience within relevant industry
  • Proven track record of high level presentational packages and high-level presentation and communication skills
  • Proven track record of event management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Exposure to CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Ability to use insight to measure event impact
  • Competency within email marketing and webinar platforms is essential
  • Ideally educated to degree level.

Please note that this role will involve around 10% travel (which will be split between national and international)
