Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – Zurich/Malaga Relocation Required

My client is at the forefront of the entertainment and Virtual Reality industry, working in partnership with leading sports organisations, enabling fans to virtually attend live events across multiple devices and platforms, creating experiences for fans that are more immersive, personalised, and social than ever before.

THE ROLE

As the Chief Marketing Officer(CMO) you will spearhead the customer acquisition and global marketing function of this start-up digital media platform. You will take ownership of building large digital communities and monetise customer through both subscription and in-app purchasing models.

RESPONSIBILITIES/OBJECTIVES

• Develop a marketing strategy commensurate with a start-up’s needs, advantages, and limitations
• Establish the marketing budget, define KPIs and report to fellow senior management on progress and ROI
• Build the company’s marketing infrastructure, create frameworks to track key cost and revenue metrics
• Drive brand awareness through PR, social media and oversight of the company website
• Generate user acquisition through paid, social, and viral means and manage retention activities
• Optimise user monetisation through subscription, in-app purchases, and advertising
• Build and manage the user community to create highly engaged customers
• Partner with product development team to conceive, develop, and deploy value-adding product features
• Stay abreast of market and competitive developments
• Assist business development team in developing commercial models and materials for sponsors and partners
