The Role

This role is to be part of an amazing team in a great London location! You will be working closely with PR companies and Agencies, predominantly within the e-commerce and marketing industry. If you have an interest in building relationships and creating rapport with some of the world’s best creative agencies, whilst given the opportunity to manage your own desk with complete overall control, then this could be the role for you!

  • A new business ‘hunter’ making a minimum of 40 calls per day.
  • Manage, follow-up and close UK and global incoming web leads.
  • Source, qualify and set-up new business opportunities with SME’s in the UK market, pitching directly to Marketing/PR Managers, Communications Directors, Brand Managers etc.
  • Meet and exceed ‘meetings booked’ and ‘revenue’ targets.
  • Sell MyNewsDesk via web demos.
  • Represent MyNewsDesk at various marketing events.

The Candidate

The successful Business Development Executive will possess the following skills and experience:

  • University Degree (Bachelor or Master) or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years+ direct B2B sales experience.
  • Interest for PR/Communications / Web 2.0 and/or Social Media.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent relationship management and people skills.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, results orientated environment.
  • Entrepreneurial, energetic and competitive team player
  • Positive attitude.
  • English (fluent), other languages of advantage
  • Strong customer focus: enter the customer’s world through listening and understanding, develop new business relationships by recognising and delivering on customer’s needs.
  • Prove personal effectiveness: produce outstanding results by being proactive and committed.
  • Be a relationship builder: build effective relationships through positive communication that motivates and influences others.
  • Be an honest, transparent and trustworthy team member, and actively involved in achieving team objectives.
