Business Development Executive – Marketing Technology – London

The Company

My client is one of the fastest growing, innovative Marketing Technology vendors in the world right now. These guys are making serious waves in the market now and are only going to push on further with their innovative product. The company is still in growth stage, so it is essential the Candidate is comfortable in an entrepreneurial “hands-on” and “team-based” environment, including being accountable and taking personal responsibility for delivering results at all times. Exciting times ahead for these guys.

The Role

This role is to be part of an extremely strong team based in their Central London office. The role would require you to focus around business development and generation of strong leads for the Enterprise team to convert into closed revenue. The right candidate will have a great attitude towards new business, coupled with an ability to communicate strongly with enterprise to mid-market level clients.

  • Develop new relationships through phone, email, and social media communications in order to establish meetings with senior level decisions makers in companies.
  • Assess the prospect’s needs, explain the solution, qualify the prospect, and schedule meetings for your Sales Managers to begin their sales process.
  • Assist in the consultative sales process by learning as much as you can about a prospect and sharing that information with the relevant Sales Manager.
  • Work in tandem with your Sales Managers and Marketing to research potential targets and identify key players and penetrate those targets by using creative strategies and tactics.
  • Utilize their sales database and marketing automation tools to manage your pipeline and maintain accurate information about suspects, prospects, and their companies.

The Candidate

The successful Business Development Executive will possess the following skills and experience:

  • 1 + years of experience in a market/sales development role.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent experience.
  • Good eye for detail and comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated and driven, personable, able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Receptive to ideas and feedback.
  • Previous experience prospecting for an Enterprise SaaS or Financial Services firm
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and marketing automation platforms like Marketo and Eloqua.
  • Proven track record achieving measurable monthly lead development goals with a senior level audience.
  • A solid understanding of what it takes to effectively manage and execute inbound and outbound prospecting strategies.
  • Fluent knowledge of either business French and/or German would be considered an advantage.
