Pre Sales Consultant / Engineer – USA – Denver. Charlotte – $80,000 – $120,000 + Bonus – Comms

My client is the European Leader in eMarketing. Through its suite of products for email, mobile and social media marketing. They continue to provide scalable, reliable, and secure cloud services to more than 2,000 existing customers across Europe, America, and Asia.

The presales consultant is primarily responsible for determining the size and shape of opportunities with customers and prospects. This involves working closely with our Sales, Technical and Marketing teams to define solutions that meet our customer’s needs. Our presales consultants need to be part business analyst, part architect and part sales person in order to define best fit technical solutions and educate our customers on the benefits to them.

My client offers the opportunity to work with leading brands around the globe delivering cutting edge digital marketing solutions using mobile, proximity and big data cloud technologies.

Responsibilities – Pre-Sales Consultant / Engineer – USA – Denver. Charlotte

  • Work with prospects and customers to CXO level, educating them in our solutions
  • Work with prospects and customers to CXO level to understand the customers pain points and define business & technical solutions
  • Develop customer and prospect demos with our technical, marketing and consulting teams to wow our audience
  • Provide technical backup to the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Own the solution and work with delivery teams to ensure the right solution is successfully delivered to our customers
  • Provide technical feedback and guidance to the product management teams in shaping the future of the cloud platform

Key Skills – Pre-Sales Consultant / Engineer – USA – Denver. Charlotte

  • Communication and presentation skills to CXO level
  • Consulting – business analysis and solution design
  • Internet Technologies -Experience with HTML, XML, Web Services, REST, JavaScript
  • Database Technologies – Main-stream RDBMS’ and a basic understanding of data manipulation, SQL and database design. Big data
  • Marketing Technology – understanding of technology landscape, e.g. OLAP, Data Mining, RDBMS, CRM tools, Email Marketing, and Social Media.

Experience – Pre-Sales Consultant / Engineer – USA – Denver. Charlotte

  • 10+ Years professional experience, preferably including competitive or complementary online marketing solutions and/or analytics solutions such as; Eloqua, Neolane, Alterian, Aprimo, Unica, Responsys, Exact Target, eDialog, Apteco.
  • Able to convince others to follow recommendations
  • Understand the prospect’s market, business strategy, issues and decision drivers as well as technology.
  • Consulting Skills – Meticulously prepared for workshops and meetings. Effective interviewing skills. Able to align user requirements with system and application functions.
  • Ability to Travel – Extensive domestic and some international travel required – assume 50% travel.
