Supplier Relationship Manager – Disruptive Travel Technology – London/Berkshire

The Company

Currently working within a multi-billion-pound market, in the UK alone, my client are in the process of disrupting one of the largest areas in the travel industry! These guys provide an online platform that eases the process of travel management, through from start to finish, providing quality along with customer satisfaction.

In recent years, they have shown a rapid rise within the market, dealing with 2000 operators, connecting with 20,000 vehicles across the UK and 100 overseas locations. This has been coupled with a huge financial backing making them a powerhouse within the Travel Management space for years to come.

The Role

The requirements for the Supplier Relationship Manager role would be to liaise, build rapport with and provide a consultative service to the transport suppliers who use the platform. This includes a number of different operations across Operator Recruitment, Supplier Management, Pricing, Technology and Input to Management. A key aspect to the role would be to share the vision of my client and educate suppliers on the benefits of working with them.

  • To Recruit new suppliers, who would look to sign up and join the network used on the platform.
  • Promote suppliers through open days and brand awareness.
  • Work with key stakeholders to make sure the understanding of the product and the benefits of the product are always clear.
  • Negotiate on price and agree PSL terms, as well maintain records for the admin behind this.
  • Be a product advocate for the tool, allowing you to discuss the benefits and provide an evangelical service.
  • Working closely with management to ensure operations run smoothly.

The Candidate

The successful Supplier Relationship Manager will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Be an incredibly enthusiastic and inquisitive person around the platform and the travel industry in general.
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of managing relationships with suppliers who operate in the travel market.
  • Possess commercial awareness, around where there will be chances to up-sell and get the best price on suppliers.
  • Ideally, an understanding of the Travel Management market, specifically within SaaS.
  • Background in structuring multi-year contracts with SLA’s and penalties.
