The Role

Thanks to continuous growth and success, a newly created role has arisen for a Head of Sales to lead the UK sales function from their London head office. Responsible for rapidly growing the team headcount and setting the strategy, the sales team are responsible for closing deals through telephone and webinar sales. This role will also work closely with the senior leadership team on the overall go to market strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Track and be accountable for overall team revenue number and productivity
  • Coach, support and train your team in sales methodologies
  • Work with your team to identify new opportunities and develop targeted sales pitches
  • Inspire, lead and create a positive and high performance culture and sales environment
  • Own your teams metrics & performance, ensuring accurate data is recorded on Salesforce and report upwards as appropriate
  • Recruit and build an awesome team of sales executives

Your Profile

The successful Sales Manager will naturally have a proven aptitude for sales and high performance cultures and will most likely bring the following skills/experience:

  • Proven experience leading a fast-paced sales team as a Sales Director, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Head of Sales, Sales Team Leader or similar
  • Experience working for technology organisation, software vendor, media sales or B2B services business selling to mid-market & enterprise customers would be beneficial
  • You are an advocate for numbers and metrics in managing a sales floor and can intelligently identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence in order to coach and develop your team
  • You thrive in a start-up environment: prepared to go the extra mile and get the job done under pressure
