Sales Director – Northern Europe

My client are shifting their focus from being a traditional technology business providing WiMax & LTE into emerging markets such as IoT and FinTech. They have grown their customer base by over 300% in the last three years through this change in approach, and are seeking two Sales Directors to cover European territories, one for Northern Europe and the other for Southern Europe.

They have a strong pipeline of existing clients in Europe, so whoever joins the team would have relationships ready-made to develop on, in addition to new-business wins of their own.

Responsibilities

  • Take accountability for an annual sales plan and have complete ownership of a sales quota while taking a %age of everything you sell.
  • Develop on existing relationships the business has in place across Northern Europe.
  • Build a network of C-Level contacts across the Telecoms, Technology, Media, and Retail businesses across Northern Europe, with the purpose of increasing sales pipeline.
  • Understand the needs of customers, and present custom solutions back to the business that could be offered – creativity and developing a thorough knowledge of product portfolio is a must.
  • Function as a C -2 level (2 down from CEO), reporting into the Head of Worldwide Sales and being highly visible to the CEO.

Requirements

  • Excellent track record in consultative based B2B solution sales, offering real value-adds to customers.
  • Desire to combine a mixture of new-business sales with management of existing accounts.
  • Prior expertise in sales of technology solutions, whether in an IT or Telecoms Vendor, or Systems Integrator/Reseller business.
  • Ability to travel internationally when required, which could be on a regular basis.
  • The usual sales toolkit of any high performing sales professional – think leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Fluent English required, with additional languages a benefit.

Salary: Dependent on experience, with competitive bonus structure
