Purpose of the role

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for account management and product delivery for POS and Offset and Digital printing. This role will involve delivering exceptional service management, ongoing cost savings and added value for the client. In addition the Senior Account Executive will manage progression of the jobs with vendors through the various stages in the production lifecycle, and will ensure that clients are updated regularly on the progress of their work.

Financial

  • Ensures the client is fully aware of increased costs on all jobs and obtain client authorisation
  • Working to Williams Lea operating budget, understanding of billing process
  • Ensures best practice procedures are followed and documentation complete
  • Helps to produce end of month MI reports where required

Client

  • Building relationships with client contacts on day to day issues
  • Develops a good understanding of the client’s business and industry sector
  • Manage relationships with clients, their perceptions and expectations
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints and reports findings to the client and Account Manager
  • Ensures all communications are carried out in a professional and timely manner
  • Attends customer meetings as appropriate

Operations

  • Procurement and project management of Print-related campaigns
  • Managing the daily tracking and analysis of production requirements, ensuring that this data is communicated regularly to the Account Manager
  • Wide understanding of print and delivery processes providing technical input as required
  • Assume full responsibility for processing and production of all requests from receipt through to final delivery and invoice preparation
  • Ensure all details from the client are accurately transferred to the Williams Lea MIS system and central reporting files
  • Implements best practice in conjunction with wider companies operations
  • Implements and uses management information systems throughout the progress of the job
  • Ensure all client Service Levels are met
  • Regular liaison with clients and suppliers regarding production schedules
  • Manage stock control including re-orders etc.
  • Effective introduction and management of Williams Lea’s e-procurement and job tracking systems
  • Is able to demonstrate and express an informed understanding of how e-procurement can provide business advantage to the client

Key Competencies

  • Subject Matter Expert in Print-related products and services including POS, commercial print, POSM
  • Experience in print procurement or print management environment
  • Knowledge/Experience of Creative and/or Design Services would be an advantage
  • Experience of Direct Mail would be an advantage

Essential skills

  • Will ideally have 5 years’ experience in a similar print procurement or print management environment; financial services experience will be an advantage
  • Experience in POS business environment managing multi materials
  • Excellent print management knowledge
  • Commercially strong and numerate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent client facing and customer service skills, service minded
  • Ability to build relationships and develop new business
  • Experience of working in an environment where priorities are constantly changing
  • Commercially good and numerate
  • Must be computer literate, appreciate the advantages of technology; experience of workflow and DAM systems an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail, organized
