The Product:

As the Senior Back-End Engineer, you will help develop server-side components to ensure the platform can deliver functionality, security and performance when scaling. This will deliver a first-class platform which utilises machine learning and artificial intelligence to provide future predictive analysis.

The Opportunity:

• You will build back-end java services using technologies such as spring or maven
• You will build a platform with lasting performance and scalability in mind thinking about object oriented programming , micro services and service oriented architecture (SOA)
• You will deploy in the cloud using AWS and interface with the front end using RESTful APIs and web services such as SOAP.
• You will have security best practices in mind in everything you deliver
• Work with Continuous integration tools with git and in a DevOps environment working with BDD and TDD best practices.

We are based in the new WeWork offices in Liverpool Street in the heart of London with all the modern working facilities you would expect from a cutting-edge start-up backed with Santander’s resources. The Technology:

You will work with Java, HTTP/JSON, RESTful and SOAP. You will also work with a range of technologies such as CI build tools, MongoDB, Maven, Spring, Boot, AWS, Agile, TDD.

About You:

We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Developer who understands what it takes to build a platform opposed to just an application. If you understand the mechanics of working in a start-up where there is lots of change yet happy to work to agile and more test-driven practices then we want to hear from you.

We are a fin-tech company building a regulated product which means if you’ve got a hacker mentality coming from an early stage start-up, this might not be for you. Instead if you understand what it takes to build an architecturally sound mobile product with clean and maintainable code then we want to hear from you for immediate interview.
