One of the UK’s oldest and most reputable investment houses are going through an incredibly exciting Digital Transformation with a new business division. They are looking for an experienced and highly self-motivated Business Analyst to join the D2C (Direct to Customers) team to support the implementation of a number of product initiatives. This is a growing portfolio, and there will be an increased demand for product innovation as they move towards building a client centric business and operating model. As a key focus, this Business Analyst will work closely with operational teams to implement new products and processes and rationalisation of third party service providers.

Business Analyst – Responsibilities

• Perform analysis to support investigations and discovery phases of pipeline projects, feeding into the construction of business cases and delivery plans
• Build an understanding of the business problem and identify solutions aimed at delivering value to the business quickly
• Gather and refine requirements through running stakeholder interviews and workshops
• Robustly challenge stakeholders to retain discipline on scope and maintain focus on delivering value
• Engage various teams across the business to define business solutions and determine implications of possible data and technology operating model options
• Adopt a flexible approach to business analysis working with agile project methodologies.
• Link technical delivery requirements to business process change and back to business value / benefit

Business Analyst – Requirements

This role is ideally suited to someone who is a self-starter with previous experience of working on projects in all phases (investigations / feasibility and delivery) and can demonstrate:

• Experience working in an Agile environment is essential
• Financial Services (investments/ wealth management) is preferred but not essential
• Work in a digital environment is a must
• Experience of defining and agreeing the analysis approach on projects.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proactive and delivery focused with excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team, across the business and with third party suppliers.
• Capable of facilitating medium sized workshops and meetings with stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables reacting positively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience of defining business solutions (both short term and strategic) that meet the business requirement.
