Data Scientist – Dusseldorf – €70,000 – £80,000


A unique opportunity has presented itself working for one of the world’s leading technology providers. They are looking for data science candidates who are enthusiastic about making their next step into a company really revolutionising their market space.

The project will involve working closely with the clients international partners getting involved in Data Mining and model development as well as building analytical ecosystems using technologies such as R, Python, SciPy and Shiny

This is a role for only the best candidates in the market who hold ambitions to join an organisation challenging the market and ripping up the online landscape; so if you’re ready for a change and want to join a team unwilling to accept anything but success this is the role for you.

The Role


  • Using a variety of data-sets to test hypotheses, discovering hidden relationships & providing actionable insight
  • Analysis and modelling of the business & its drivers
  • Strategic data analysis and research to support the business needs
  • Identify ways to improve productivity through development of sophisticated models
  • Using visualisation to engage with audiences in an effective way, creating a story for them to follow
  • Development of customer/market prediction models
  • Management and monitoring of projects




  • Strong academic background, desirably to Masters or PhD level
  • Proven track record of 3-5 years in a relevant field
  • Proficiency in a couple of programming languages such as: C++, Java, Mahout, Python, Scala or MapReduce
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage with both internal and external stakeholders about the use of Data and Data Models
  • Strong proficiency in both statistical & machine learning approaches
  • Experience manipulating and analysing large and complex datasets
  • Professional and or Academic experience of deployment of models and algorithms to solve real-world problems
  • Native or fluent German speaking
