An opportunity now exists for a Data Scientist with experience in risk to join a fin tech peer to peer lending company. The company have matched more than £100 million of loans and set to grow to over £1b in the next 3 years of its projected growth. As such we’re on the search for an experienced Data Scientist who can;

• Develop and implement data models applying machine learning, deep learning and statistical analysis techniques.
• Develop ETL work-flows provide analysis, design and implement reports by using a BI tool such as Tableau
• Manipulate data, build models using techniques such as random forest and regression and work to improve efficiency in data performance.
• Develop and maintain scoring algorithms in the production environment.
• Create modelling projects as well as conduct research and analysis projects.
• Work with financial transaction data sets including credit and customer acquisition data.

This is a great opportunity to develop the data science strategy and vision working closely with the Lead Data Scientist and Head of Risk. We’re looking for a Data Scientist with:

• 2-3 years commercial experience in a production environment
• Experience working with risk with a deep understanding of UK consumer credit data
• Modelling experience with regression, gradient boosting or random forest as examples.
• Skilled in Python, R and SQL
• Qualifications in mathematics, statistics or similar
• Bonus points for experience with AWS, fin-tech or neural network algorithms.
