Social Media Analyst – London – £30-35K


My client has created a new class of enterprise software that helps employees across the front office come together and engage with customers through one unified platform. With the help of this company, brands can truly know their customers – not as data points, but as people. With deeper, richer context across touchpoints, organisations can seamlessly craft meaningful experiences customers will want to share with others.

They are currently 1100 employees strong, valued at $1.2 billion, and one of the fastest growing companies in the history of enterprise software; working with clients like Nike, McDonalds, Microsoft, P&G and Uber…So what’s not to like?


Currently they are looking for 2 Analysts (one at senior level) – you will build upon existing analytics, research and consultancy skills that directly inform – and ultimately, deliver – a variety of products and services to some of the world’s most famous brands. You will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks such as conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to surface actionable insights, assisting customers in measuring the impact of social and defining for them how social data and its application can solve business challenges; understand, strategise, and act on investment in the social space and the brand itself.

You will be trained to master the company platform as well as other tools, research and business consultancy techniques to create solutions that meet business objectives – and deepen the value we bring to the customers we service.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Manipulate and analyse multiple data sets derived from social media channels and other sources to uncover trends and patterns, informing insights that impact business value
  • Conduct research specific to customers objectives, including organisational stakeholder discovery as well as social intelligence industry and competitive assessments
  • Lead conversations with customers to understand and prioritise business challenges, focusing on leveraging on the brand’s capabilities to solve and define social measurement, intelligence and audience profiling approaches
  • Assist strategy consultants in delivering accurate, powerful business discovery workshops that lead to actionable recommendations across social and digital strategy- as well as planning how their impact will be measured
  • Create well-formatted presentations/reports with informative headlines, charts and diagrams that organise and tell the story of your analysis findings or strategic solution
  • Support the company operations, sales, strategy teams as appropriate; working closely to execute internal initiatives as well as deliver external value outside of project work
  • Take personal accountability for workload and ability to work across multiple projects.

Please ONLY apply if you possess the following:

  • BA/BS with a strong academic record; degree in statistics or business a plus
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within Social Media and analysis
  • Previous digital/media/social analyst experience required, in an agency or brand setting preferred
  • Experience using social listening and engagement tools required
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytics skills, statistical data modelling experience a plus
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience in databases, CRM or advanced excel skills a plus
  • Knowledge of social media and digital landscape required as well emerging channels and social advertising experience a plus (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, SnapChat, Sina Weibo, LINE)
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal with great attention to detail, and comfortable leading in customer facing situations
  • Experience in managing projects from start to end, managing customer relationships and expectations
  • Self-starter with demonstrated creativity when facing challenging problems or projects.
