Salt are currently partnered with a growing Fintech start-up who are looking to rapidly scale up their development team based in Central London. Operating in the ever-growing Fintech space our client is looking to add passionate and experienced developers to work with stakeholders from across the business, Including Technology, Design, Product & Risk.

You’ll have a unique opportunity to join a dynamic workforce and will be involved with helping to drive the direction of the business and having a real impact on the company’s growth.

In this role you will be developing and enhancing Microservices within an Agile feature team and working collaboratively with the team to ensure strong coding qualities are met and to resolve any technical issues.

Key tech features are:

• Entirely Java Spring Boot Microservices running with Kafka in Kubernetes, using an event-sourced CQRS architecture.
• Looking to migrate to a ‘V2’ of this architecture in 2020 (which sees relational databases replaced with Kafka Streams and State Stores) and are building our core-banking proposition using this architecture.
• Their platform is entirely ‘GitOps’ based – everything is defined in code (terraform). For example, new databases, kafka topics, or even services using a new technology can be added via a GitHub Pull Request).
• They run Continuous Deployment – any code merged to master goes through to production without manual intervention.

What’s needed from you?

• Strong Java experience including theoretical knowledge of Java software development as well as having solid coding principles.
• Experience with Spring Boot, AWS, Microservices & Kubernetes or Docker Skills.
• Strong written & verbal skills.
