Senior Front End Developer – London – £60,000 – £70,000 – JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery

My client classes its self as the Internet of Everything solution for brands. It includes beacon technology that knows when your customer visits a physical store; real-time predictive reccommendations generated at the precise moment they open your email; and powerful insights that use analysis of Big Data to effortlessly generate a truly personal experience.

Every year, they execute more than five million marketing campaigns, manage more than five billion customer records, and deliver more than 55 billion personalized interactions.

They are looking for a Frontend Engineer to develop the email component of the product. You’ll be responsible for enhancing and supporting their customers’ requirements whilst looking to the future and working with the Java engineers to work on the next generation email platform.

As a Frontend Engineer you will estimate, plan, and coordinate with the Email team lead as well as leading the frontend development process. You will report to the Head of R&D.

Responsibilities – JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery

  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Educate team members about integrating systems collaboratively & efficiently

Requirements – JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery

  • Extensive experience working on large scale online applications.
  • Experience working with web markup including HTML 5, CSS
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platform such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and Javascript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Experience in working with web frameworks like Backbone + Marionette, Angular or React
  • Good understanding of unit testing and common frameworks like Mocha, CapserJS + PhantomJS or others
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
