Lead DevOps Engineer (DevOps/Cloud) – Linux, AWS, Azure – London – £100,000 – £120,000

My client is a leading Digital business who are developing unique cutting edge technology. They have built a highly capable development team and seek a Senior DevOps / TechOps, linux guru.

The new development team is building out a platform that interacts with mobile devices and beacons to provide proximity marketing for customers. The applicant will need to be bright, imaginative, and capable technologist specifically seeking an environment where their potential will be maximized through the challenging projects that the company requires to be developed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide 3rd line platform support across platforms
  • Enterprise level Linux expert working with HA technologies to provide continuous service.
  • Work pro-actively to identify and expand the technical solutions to fit the business and customers’ needs
  • Re-actively work towards minimal downtime by using best practice, in-place Zabbix and external monitoring and using their experience to educate the team if current process is delinquent
  • Provide support to customers as required
  • Respond to calls logged via JIRA and the Service Desk in a timely manner in accordance with the SLA, keeping detailed records of actions and closing details.
  • Administer, maintain and support existing bespoke developed applicationssystems flows
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and manufacturers to escalate and resolve issues as required
  • Specify and install new standard software/hardware as required
  • Ensure compliance with the IT Acceptable Use Policy
  • Undertake regular reviews of all system logs and resolve any issues identified
  • Make any system changes in accordance with change management procedures
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is updated as required

DevOps Team Lead (London)

DevOps Engineer / Team Lead (AWS, Docker, Ansible). We’re seeking a highly skilled DevOps Team Lead to join us in London.

As a DevOps Team Lead you’ll design and build a new DevOps infrastructure whilst managing a team of four DevOps Engineers.

You’ll be managing and maintaining the data centre and environment, AWS, Elastic Load Balancing, Docker containers, GO CI build tools and various database technologies.

You’ll be working with next generation Docker and micro-services architecture as well as legacy on-premise platforms.

Requirements:

  • Passionate technologist
  • Strong DevOps experience on a Linux OS
  • Coding skills with at least one modern programming or scripting language
  • Familiar with Docker, Mesos, Marathon and micro-services
  • Familiar with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with AWS services

This is a perm role based in London.
