Salary: Dependent on experience

The role

We are looking for an experienced Web Designer with skills in digital design and front-end development. You must have experience within e-commerce and will also need a strong knowledge of responsive HTML & CSS , as well as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Experience with testing and optimising would also be hugely advantageous.

You will be at the heart of what we communicate to the customer and will champion our brand in all visual design.

Responsibilities

  • Build engaging HTML website landing pages
  • Creating PSD assets / templates – email and web
  • Produce both graphics & code inline with briefs provided by the website team, including page layouts and themes, email designs, site graphics and banners
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent company branding across all channels
  • Campaign creative – logos, mastheads and general ‘look and feel’
  • Creation and deployment of HTML / CSS web pages for campaigns
  • Develop wireframes and concepts that improve the customer experience
  • Design concepts for site changes and new projects (e.​g.​ campaign launches, UX improvements)
  • Working to strict deadlines as part of a fast moving ecommerce design team
  • Print work will include seasonal flyers, brochures and leaflets
  • Meet stringent deadlines while having the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Mentoring and assisting more junior members of the team with their work

About You

  • A solid understanding and experience of HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery
  • Must have experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience of responsive coding essential, with a particular focus on Bootstrap
  • Experience of using browser developer tools for manipulating DOM elements
  • Print experience an advantage but not essential
  • Strong skills in CMS design & code, especially responsive CRM templates
  • Experience in usability and MVT testing an advantage
  • Experience in a fast paced ecommerce environment with the ability to work quickly from concept creation to finished product
  • Forward thinking and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the customer experience
  • Highly motivated, willing to learn and develop in the role
  • Previous experience overseeing/mentoring junior designers advantageous
  • Minimum of 3-4 years experience

Must be eligable to work in the UK without sponsorship. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
