IT Director / Head of IT / Director of IT – London – £100,000 – Director, IT, Head of, Infrastructure, Cloud, Software, Technology, Security

My client is a leading cloud software company. Their award-winning solutions power the networks for over 1,000 service provider and mobile operators. They are seeking a Director of IT to oversee their global IT function, with overall responsibility for IT systems and infrastructure, including Security.

The successful candidate will report directly into a member of the Executive team, and will be based in our UK HQ

Responsibilities

• responsible for evolving and delivering the IT team’s mission to boost company growth and profitability by reducing friction for the rest of the business across systems, infrastructure and processes
• increase company velocity through selecting and providing self-service tools, applications and reports
• always seek simplicity in systems and infrastructure and maximize time spent adding value
• deliver a world class IT infrastructure that scales with the company, while providing a secure environment for our (and our customers’) data.

Delivering on this will include

• building strong relationships within the business and representing IT into the Executive team
• understanding strategic business objectives and specific upcoming needs and initiatives across the rest of the business
• identifying and championing new technologies, systems and processes to meet future business needs, including business case development
• owning the architecture, development, maintenance and support of the systems and applications used by the business

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years Senior IT management experience
• Strong technical background and detailed IT knowledge
• Strong leadership skills both within IT to develop and give direction to your team, and more broadly to advise and influence others across the business
• Excellent interpersonal skills including experience working with senior executives
• BSc level education, with technical subjects preferred
• MBA an advantage
