Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – SC Cleared
As an infrastructure engineer you’ll:
- Be deploying infrastructure into AWS, describing your infrastructure as code so it can be deployed through an automated pipeline
- Debugging a complex, multi-component cloud-native service in a high-availability environment
- Be using and administering configuration management tools such as Terraform, GitHub and Jenkins, as well as open source
databases like MySQL
- Be deploying and maintaining security controls in a cloud environment
- Creating and maintaining documentation
- Sharing knowledge of tools and techniques with your wider team, both developers and non-developers
- Contribute towards working in an agile, stripy team and helping that team meet its wider goals
- Participate in our in-house support (during office hours)
- Be helping government departments gain access to and use our tool to help them secure their email services (which may include troubleshooting their DMARC, SPF and DKIM configuration)
Essential skills:
- Over 3 years of recent experience in Infrastructure Engineering or Systems Administration relating to the creation and
maintenance of scalable digital services
- Experience of deploying cloud-native systems into AWS using ‘serverless’ and container-based infrastructure
- Experience of describing infrastructure as code using Terraform and deploying it through an automated CI/CD pipeline
- Experience creating and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins or similar
- Expertise in secure configuration of AWS in line with their published best practices
- A breadth of infrastructure expertise (containerisation, load balancing, DNS, networking at scale etc.)
- Experience with databases, large data sets, SQL & stored procedures
- Experience of working in agile teams, using typical agile tools and techniques
- Ability to quickly research and apply new tools and engineering techniques to solve problems
Nice to have skills:
- Experience implementing cryptographic protocols or standards, as well as implementing email security protocols such as DMARC, SPF and DKIM
- Knowledge of email standards such as RFC 822
- Experience of implementing and troubleshooting implementations against Internet RFCs
- Experience with developing C#, dotnet core, React
