The Implementation Solution Designer should have a working knowledge/demonstrable exposure to the Technologies, Products and Services used by OCCO Olympus.

Activities, responsibilities and Deliverables:

– Define detailed scope of integration phases, the implementation analyst should be able to conduct this as a self-led activity using project documentation but must also be comfortable with speaking to solution designers, solution architects and build teams, arranging workshops where necessary.
– Work with environment and testing team to devise a testing plan that supports implementation and work with stakeholders such as operations to refine and approve the test schedule and scope.
– Build detailed implementation run books to be used during live and pre-live deployments. These must be as efficient as possible to minimise downtime.
– Work with operations and build teams/PMs to resource implementation phases.
– Define a post live monitoring strategy.
– Carry out due diligence against solution and component design during all implementation activities, especially during detailed scope and run book design. The implementation analyst is responsible for ensuring as far as possible that code works correctly in production.

Person Specification

Technical breadth, able to hold a conversion with technical SMEs using their language.
Technical depth, should have hands on experience of at least one OCCO technology (IBM Sterling, Mainframe, and Java).
Verbal and written Communication, able to communicate at a technical level but also at a higher level with project seniors.
Self-motivated, requires little supervision, only occasional direction taking ownership.
Able to work in ambiguous situations and respond positively to changing requirements.
Takes decisive action and can make calculated risks in the interest of the overall project and business aims.

Organisational context

The Implementation Analyst will report to the Senior Project Manager – Implementation and work in conjunction with the Overall Olympus Implementation Solution Designer.
