City of London Contract / 6 Months £550.00 - £750.00 per day

Our client is a large retail bank building a new digital mobile team to operate in a lean agile start-up way with all the modern ways of working with product engineering as opposed to the corporate banking. This team are building new retail mobile banking app to launch globally which will be the future of mobile banking working in a cross functional multidisciplinary team with product owners, software engineers, BAs etc.

Key Skills Required:

  • Commercial development experience with the Android SDK
  • OO design skills and ability to produce clean, maintainable, decoupled and testable code
  • Experience with JSON APIs, SQLite, MVP, Content Providers, Maven or Gradle, Material Design, Git
  • Experience with RxJava, Dagger2 and Retrofit are a strong advantage
  • TDD experience specifically using Espresso or Roboelectric
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, using Scrum or Kanban
  • Published multiple Android apps to the Play store
  • Be familiar with the Model View Presenter architecture
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
