Business Analyst – Liquidity

Greater London Contract / 6 months £400 - £475 per day

Liquidity Business Analyst, London, 6 months, £450pd
You’ll be joining a team which is responsible for all internal and external liquidity related reporting and provides analysis and services for other divisions such as Treasury, Risk and Finance to monitor and manage liquidity risk in the bank.
You’ll ensure that daily group liquidity reporting processes are run with the required level of accuracy and completeness and that results are validated against movements in internal stress and monthly officially submitted returns with the results clearly communicated to stakeholders in liquidity management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring appropriate validation and control procedures for daily LCR are run to meet governance requirements and to comply with the Liquidity and Resolution Reporting Control framework
  • Producing metrics to meet RDA&RR requirements
  • Interacting with the various stakeholders in the strategic change process such as Treasury, Finance change and Technology to support effective delivery
  • Involvement in UAT (user acceptance testing)
  • Producing and reviewing liquidity reports in a timely, accurate, consistent format and manner
  • Supporting and contributing to ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by Regulators
  • Keeping track of the compliance of reporting implementation with current regulatory interpretation
  • Analysing the results of the process and investigating significant and abnormal variances in particular in relation to moves in daily internal stress.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Liquidity Regulatory Reporting requirements
  • Experience of business as usual liquidity regulatory reporting process
  • Understanding of various financial products and their impact on liquidity and resolution reporting
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written
  • The ability to understand concepts and apply them to practical situations
  • Very strong data analysis skills
  • Previous experience of report production, analysis and provision of business commentary
  • Business minded with aptitude to apply system skills
  • Experienced in working in an environment with a strong customer focus with experience of pro-actively working with demanding customers in a flexible manner
  • Experienced delivering results in a fast moving, dynamic environment
  • Ability to adapt and be responsive to changing customer, sponsor and stakeholder requirements
