THE COMPANY

We are currently recruiting for a Portfolio Manager, PMO Manager to join a multinational organisation which can be described as (Big data, Data Science, Digital, Cloud based, Intelligent Marketing, very intelligent marketing) high tech business bringing together consumers, retailers and marketers.

THE ROLE
looking for a ‘hands-on’, customer-facing PMO / Portfolio Manager to be accountable for the successful delivery of customer implementations as well as managing the projects portfolio against a set of KPIs. This will also involve managing a number of Project Managers. The main accountabilities are to ensure that:

  • Projects are scoped and costed correctly: projects scoping as part of the Sales process is driven by the portfolio manager, alongside key technical leads in the PS group.
  • Successful implementation of projects / delivery of PS services to agreed scope, cost and quality.
  • Delivery Methodologies and governance are adhered to.
  • Projects reporting including P/L, Revenue realization and resources utilization is accurate at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the Sales/Bid process – assist the Sales and Client Success teams on their Sales and Bid process for new and existing clients. The activities include for instance discussing & agreeing with clients Delivery approaches or timescales.
  • Owning the scoping and cost estimation for customer implementations. This will include challenging technical teams on estimates where necessary.
  • Effectively managing the reporting process on the projects portfolio
  • Aggregating and providing a weekly PS score card which includes such KPIs as resource utilization, revenue realization & margin
  • Providing delivery assurance on customer engagements
  • Providing resources forecast for in-flight and forthcoming projects
  • Liaising with the PS leads to assign appropriate resources on projects
  • Defining and maintaining project delivery artefacts (project methodology, templates, plans, estimation metrics)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Proven Systems Integration delivery experience
  • Web Technologies experience is a must
  • Project management experience
  • PMO / portfolio management experience
  • Consultancy services background highly desirable
  • Experience in either Digital Marketing, eCommerce or SaaS desirable

This is a highly successful and progressive organisation which offers good career progression. The successful candidate will receive a salary between £55,000 – £65,000 + Benefits
