Product Owner

Our client is a leading E-Commerce business with multiple products and services in over 50 cities across 25 countries. As a product manager you will be reporting to the Senior Product Manager in their central London office, this exciting new role is to manage the roadmap and performance of the digital (web and app) properties for their products.

Main responsibilities:

• Take the lead of the scrum team as the Product Owner, providing direction and vision
• Work closely with the Product Manager to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI.
• Create and prioritise epics and stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
• Bridge the gap between technical and other stakeholders in the business to ensure all elements of a project are communicated and understood.

• Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on.
• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.
• Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities, completing UAT as appropriate.
• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
• Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.

Skills and Requirements

Essential Professional and Technical Skills

• Hands on experience in a Scrum Product Owner, or Agile Business Analyst role.
• Practical experience of scrum based agile product development, having taken on scrum master responsibilities in the past.
• The ability to manage the product backlog from idea’s through to shippable increments.
• Experience working with a mixture of outsourced and in-house tech teams.
• Experience with personalisation and multivariant testing.
• Experience working in a fast paced, agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable discussing technical, marketing and business issues with various stakeholders in the business and externally.
• Preferred hands on experience with Drupal.

Professional Background

• 2+ years’ experience within a Scrum Product Owner or Business Analyst position.
• Preferred background in high turnover ecommerce websites.
