Scrum Master – Digital – Start Ups – Education – Mobile Apps

THE COMPANY

This will give you a chance to work for a truly unique start-up which is already making waves of revenue in the education industry
The purpose of this role is to facilitate a diverse group of bright & passionate people in a self-organizing and cross-functional teams responsible for building and operating a bespoke language mobile app.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate an Agile team promoting Extreme Programming, Scrum and Kanban practices.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups and other events such as planning games, showcases and retrospectives, plus all team discussions to create consensus and continuous improvement of the agreed process.
  • Ensure the team has everything it needs to do its job and remove any obstacles.
  • Grow and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and internal users.
  • Maintain visibility of relevant up-to-date information and track agreed metrics on a regular basis.
  • Work with the team to identify and mitigate issues and risks, also to clearly identify and manage external dependencies.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • At least 3 years experience working in a Scrum team.
  • Demonstrable Scrum coaching skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of iterative development principles.
  • Exposure to and appreciation of other methodologies with the ability to leverage techniques which may add value to the team.
  • Previous technical experience.
  • Familiarity with Extreme Programming.
  • Highly effective light-touch leadership and a collaborative approach that guides people without controlling them, helping them participate with the right level of respect and professional behaviour, but employing authority when the situation requires

This is a highly successful and progressive organisation which offers good career progression. The successful candidate will receive a salary between £55,000 – £75,000 + Fantastic Benefits + Bonus
