Salt are proud to announce their partnership with one of the leading Digital Consultancies who are actively seeking a QA Engineer (Javascript, Java, C#, TDD, BDD, MVC, .NET, SQL) to join either offices in London or in Manchester, both teams are ambitous, fast paced and very successful. This hire requires the best of the best to deliver new products across the UK (TRAVELLING REQUIRED).

The ideal candidate will have the very best of communication skills to allow them to be client-facing on a regular basis across various places in the UK. You will be building the most cutting edge and complex test automation Page Object Model frameworks from scratch using Cucumber, Specflow, Selenium Webdriver and other vital core BDD tools. This opportunity allows you to be apart of the most diverse, high-energy and focussed teams gaining exposure across the full Software Development LifeCycle, using the latest technology and delivering to some very high end customers.

In addition to the above you will also require the following attributes:

Work experience/ Technical skills

• 5+ years’ experience in load testing, testing user interfaces, stress, performance
• Testing in agile methods.
• Experience with defect management systems either using JIRA or similar.
• Hands on experience with automated testing tools and exposure to Selenium API or similar.
• Hands on experience with performance testing using tools such as Gatling/Jmeter/Grinder or similar.
• Hands on experience with either JS/Java/C# programming language and must be comfortable to develop automated test frameworks.
• Solid experience of writing BDD and TDD scenarios.
• Hands on experience with using build systems such as Jenkins, Travis
• Good Exposure with continuous build and deployment processes.
• Exposure to object oriented analysis and design and testing on systems developed in MVC frameworks on Java or .NET.
• Participated in full lifecycle development on large projects.
• Experience of carrying out acceptance demos with PO’s (though not mandatory)
• Hands on experience in exploratory testing.
• Hands on experience in SQL programming.
• Experience of working in projects where Test Driven Development, pair programming and refactoring principles were applied.
• Knowledge and experience creating a Test Strategy for agile projects.
