QA- Tester

Our client is an EdTech start-up working in some ground breaking innovative tech to change the industry in the ways schools are taught around the globe, changing the world for the better within education. They are building some really exciting virtual labs using all the latest cutting edge technology, looking for an exceptional QA to help set-up their testing environment.

About the role

They are looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing.

You will be part of a team working on a new virtual lab which is primarily web based but also be on mobile platforms in the future as well.

You will need an eye for detail as well as excellent communication skills as you will be working with teams from around the globe

You will need to be passionate about executing test cases and quality and be able to setup up to the responsibility of being a key quality gate for the team and be able to ensure that their products, applications and systems work to the high standards that their users will demand.

What are the main Key Tasks & Activities

• Review and analyse system and design specifications
• Collaborate with Developers, Design and Product to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
• Evaluate product code according to specifications
• Clearly document testing phases, bugs and test plans
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational skills
