This position leads and collaborates with other creatives, graphic design, client management, production/project management and Association communications teams to develop and execute work, from concept to execution.
It’s important the work aligns with the verbal representation (tone of voice) of the Association brand, strategy, business owner objectives and industry best practices.
The expectation is you will provide strategic and tactical counsel on marketing collateral and short- and long-term planning that will support the membership experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Lead copywriting strategy and direction for client’s marketing programs and reviews all work submitted by copywriters and freelance copywriters
– Champion tone of voice in the business and help drive growth of the TOV practice as part of the center of excellence
– Copy edit and proofread all assigned reviews, ensuring accuracy of overall brand-connection of verbal and visual identities
– Work closely and collaboratively with Communications leaders and team to generate workable concepts and ideas for marketing campaigns, online efforts, print promotions, events and conferences, videos and general Association communications
– Write clear, persuasive, original copy, with the right mix of technical content, writing styles (including advertorial copywriting) and tone to support successful outcomes; copy edit assigned manuscripts to achieve project objectives for revenue and conversions; ensure the appropriate use of Association’s systems for products and services

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
* Superior communication and writing skills
* Ability to interact with professionals at all levels of the organization and diplomatically manage relationships and political sensitivities
* Passion and drive to perform and be accountable for work at the highest levels
* Ability to articulate and present creative concepts logically, both internally and externally
* Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines, work independently producing high-quality work and projecting a positive attitude
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook
* Knowledge of SharePoint

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* 6 years’ experience in copywriting in an agency or in-house creative services department, with a special emphasis in direct marketing and advertising concepts. Ability to translate technical content into easy-to-understand concepts.
