We are looking for a Strategic Planner, to lead the brand portfolio strategies of a successful advertising agency.

This role is about deep understanding of traditional planning strategy.

You will be the one who creates bridges between people and brands.

Job Responsibility

Product

  • Live and breathe BST. (Brutal Simplicity of Thought)

Distilling the complexity of info & insight has to be considered as the inputs to deliver BST

Work with Leadership team to evolve BST & the creative brief & review process.

To create more insight-led integrated ideas with holistic connections plans & evaluation frameworks

  • Live and breathe clients’ businesses – the heritage, the opportunities, what keeps them awake. Sharing & helping the rest of the agency teams think beyond the brief / task in hand
  • Lead Insight, Brand Strategy, Account Planning, Campaign / Creative strategy:

bringing the appropriate people, resources & tools within planning, leadership,

wider agency, external experts & partners

producing clear, concise, inspiring and actionable strategies, briefs and plans

  • Strategy & Planning end-to-end rather than a step in the process

continuous involvement through creative development

communications planning / connections moments

creative assessment

reporting, analysis, evaluation

  • Develop / continue to develop an area of expertise for agency thought leadership – inspiring clients, creating PR and opening up new business opportunities

People

  • Be a trusted client partner, understanding your clients’ needs, motivations and

behaviours. Fame, Fortune, Fun. What’s their favourite brand or campaign? What

are their passions? What’s their ideal job? What are their hopes & fears and what

do they want to achieve?

  • Lead & inspire direct reports and the wider planning community (including digital, analytics)
  • Lead & inspire everyone involved in a project (Clients, Accounts, Creative, Leadership, Strategy, other support staff)
  • Active mentorship and training across the agency
  • Build positive and collaborative relationships with other agencies involved with our Clients
  • Build a valuable network of interesting people, companies, suppliers Process

Process

  • Managing your projects effectively & efficiently.
  • Being aware of what is ‘paid for’ from planning by clients and what is value add
  • Ensuring that people are always aware of what’s happening, raising any concerns – managing upwards
  • Ensuring case studies are written on the go for internal sharing, PR and awards
