Senior UX Designer

Contract Length – 6 months
Day Rate – $700-900

The Company

Exciting opportunity to join a large financial company in Melbourne’s CBD for an initial 6-month day rate contract. You’ll join a mature design department that values innovation, customer research and collaboration.

Working arrangements are mostly from home with 1-2 days a fortnight in the office.

The role

You will always design with the customer in mind, your research-driven solutions will meet customer needs, align with business outcomes and adhere to technical constraints.

Deliverables include user flows, low-mid fidelity wireframes, prototypes, user research, customer scenarios, heuristic evaluation and IA evaluation.

This is a senior position – you’ll have worked in a similar capacity as a UX specialist and will have the necessary experience to understand, influence and advise internal and/or external stakeholders.

Your experience

• Strong working knowledge of the design process, Experience Design methodologies and principles
• Comfortable producing low-mid-fidelity wireframes in sketch
• Experience running customer research and synthesis activities
• Ability to work autonomously to progress designs, research and testing
• Experience working closely with delivery teams
• Able to self- direct and work within a medium level of ambiguity
• Excellent communication and presenting skills and ability to influence outcomes
• Ability to analyse requirements and propose best possible solution for a digital/physical product where required
• Experience within agile environments, using relevant practices and principles such as: Lean UX, Minimum Viable Product, User stories, Acceptance Criteria, Rapid Prototyping, etc
• Platform experience is highly desired
