My client, a SaaS-Enabled marketplace booking platform that is revolutionising a $6.2 trillion-dollar global industry, is looking to expand their presence in Australia with a self-starter “Business Development Manager” hire.

They are trusted by millions of customers who transact millions of appointment bookings monthly with thousands of businesses worldwide.
This role requires an ambitious sales individual that can build solid relationships with all types of personalities in the beauty and wellness industry. Ultimately, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding their market leadership and accelerating their partner acquisition in the Australian market.
Identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
Generate leads, cold-call prospective customers, seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation, meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone, give sales presentations to prospective customers.
Negotiate and draft contracts with prospective clients. Identify up-sell and cross sell opportunities.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports. Meet key performance indicators on sales targets and active new partners.
Have a strong understanding of the businesses’ products or services and be able to advise others about them.
Promote the company and its associated products as the best online solution for the beauty, wellness and fitness industries.
Build strong and long-lasting relationships with their partners. Identify and connect with key partners to better understand their problems and how you can solve them.
Work with cross-functional departments to align on goals and approaches that facilitate the achievement of key objectives. Communicate internally on the critical information gathered on the market to improve their approach to the market.
Use data-driven analysis to understand their competitive environment, identify key improvement areas, develop growth plans and troubleshoot any performance gaps.
2-3 years of sales experience in the internet, software or e-commerce sectors.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong sense of initiative and customer service orientation.
Ability to adapt and achieve targets in a dynamic, fast paced working environment.
Experience with online marketplaces or SaaS platforms is desirable.
Ideally a keen interest in the Beauty and Wellness industry.
