This ‘Profit for Purpose’ company are solving an important problem in the marketplace, they’re shaking up an industry and looking for a talented Junior or Mid-weight Product Designer who can learn and grow with the company.
They operate with a flat structure and have distributed teams located around the world, with their HQ in Melbourne. Working arrangements are flexible and split between office and home (not fully remote.)
The Role:
You’ll understand the critical role product-led growth plays in modern business building and have a demonstrated track record of leading effective product organisations, including the direct management of engineering teams.
Your day to day will involve working alongside the experienced CEO and product team to drive user growth and retention, leveraging frameworks across the suite of digital products.
This will suit a Technical Senior Product Manager with a growth mindset, ready to take the next step up.
Responsibilities:
Identifying key opportunities for growth using a combination of data, customer feedback and previous experience
Scoping those opportunities for the technical lead and engineering team to successfully deliver
Run a high frequency of fast experiments to enable quality decision making and thoughtful feature prioritization and development
Engaging with customers to understand what makes them tick
Coordinating product / feature launches not just technically, but with marketing and comms
Maintaining the existing products and handling / prioritising feedback from users
The Product roadmap, and balancing between customer, business and technical needs
Working daily with our CEO and product team to develop and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle across our consumer app, customer portal and our
Working with our technical lead (remote) to develop technical solutions to deliver robust and scalable solutions
Support the recruitment as we scale up the product, growth and engineering teams, including both local and distributed teams (we doubled in size in the past 12 months and are targeting similar growth this year!)
Coaching and mentoring team members, and helping them to reach their career goals
Your Skills & Experience:
Experience leading a technical product or engineering team in agile environments
Experience managing the end to end product lifecycle in a start up or scale up environment (ecom, marketplace, SaaS etc)
Leading product-led growth initiatives to drive new user acquisition through channels such as SEO
Experience building engagement loops to increase retention and drive deeper product adoption
Experience creating alignment and effective working models with distributed cross-functional teams
Capturing meaningful product insights using event driven data insights platforms such as Amplitude, Segment or similar
AWS experience desirable
Great communication skills, and are able to bridge the gap between technology and product teams
An eye for design, not just how it looks but how it works
Experience with conducting user research, such as surveys, interviews, and analytics data
