MULTIMEDIA SPECIALIST

Position Purpose

This role’s purpose is to create, produce and manage content across various digital channels for internal and external clients within this retailers multiple brands across the group.

Sitting within internal digital production agency, you will be tasked with generating creative solutions to client briefs and producing the associated content. You will generate a mixture of video, design and digital collateral and have the technical skill to implement this on owned social and digital channels using a range of tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Creative

• Working with Account Manager, Social and Creative leads to translate campaign requirements into content ideas and technical solutions
• Work with creative teams to deliver solutions to campaign objectives including ideas across websites, digital display, social and other rich media platforms

Content production

• Storyboard, direct and shoot video content
• Edit existing video footage, creative assets and other digital content in line with campaign requirements
• Create and publish digital content to social and website properties

Content management

• Manage digital content across website and social platforms
• Create new pages and content areas within WordPress CMS
• Edit existing website page and template code to effect changes as required (CSS, HTML etc.)

UX and digital development

• Create wireframes to demonstrate web content structure and usability features
• Develop interactive prototypes to bring creative concepts to life and showcase features

Working environment

• Work within a blended creative – development team using both agile and waterfall project delivery environments
• Attend daily and weekly team WIP meetings and stand-ups to understand job priorities, upcoming work and project deliverables
• Accurately scope tasks to deliver on brief requirements then execute tasks within estimated timeframes
• Accurately record time spent working on projects in timesheet platforms such as Harvest and Accountability

Experience, knowledge and skills

Role Specific Competencies

• Video creation and editing skills using software such as After Effects, Premiere etc
• WordPress development experience (creating and editing templates, publishing content etc.)
• HTML, CSS etc
• Adobe Creative Suite

Educational / Technical Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years in content management & production including video
• Design & HTML skills – Adobe Creative Suite programs, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere and HTML, CSS and knowledge of Javascript would be advantageous
• Wireframe creation experience using Sketch and/or InVision.
• Advanced knowledge of content management systems, namely WordPress, Social Media platforms, CRM or email marketing platforms
• Video creation and editing skills using software such as After Effects and Premiere
• Excellent knowledge of online marketing strategies including Mobile, display, SEM, SEO, social media/marketing platforms such as Facebook Business Manager, Campaign Monitor and/or Mailchimp
• Excellent knowledge of connected tools and services (Mobile app development, Internet connectivity processes, CRM, Databases, and online support tools)
