Product Manager / Project Manager

The Role:

Reporting to the founder, you’ll be responsible for the product and project management of the ecommerce platform and the continued development and growth of the product strategy.

You’ll be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from development to execution. This technical role involves developing an end product, and successfully delivering on the roadmap and strategy.

Product Management Responsibilities:

• Identify product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share
• Improve customer experience and drive growth
• Coordinate the UX/UI design process to ensure a seamless customer journey
• Own the ecommerce site product lifecycle including the development and execution of product roadmaps and product strategy
• Develop the product positioning and external messaging for the ecommerce platform
• Set pricing in market to meet revenue and profit growth goals
• Scope out and prioritise product upgrades and activities based on business impact and customer demand and feedback
• Work closely with internal development teams to deliver with quick time-to-market
• Liaise with customers or partners/vendors to solicit feedback on products and services
• Translate product strategy and roadmaps into detailed requirements and prototypes
• Develop and communicate product updates to third-party suppliers or relative parties
• Manage the vendor selection process and maintain meaningful relationships

Project Management Responsibilities:

• Oversee all ongoing projects relating to the e-commerce site, mobile applications and third-party vendor integrators
• Manage the scope, cost, scheduling and risk management of projects relating to the product
• Conduct and track sprint retrospectives
• Participate in daily scrum meetings and in lieu of SCRUM master, take ownership of daily meetings and sprint focuses
• Provide technical consultations to third parties through a variety of communication methods
• Produce regular project status reports

Your Skills & Experience:

• Experience in project management methodology such as Agile or SCRUM
• Experience using data and insights to inform strategy and improve products
• An understanding of computer programming or coding experience
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to the executive leadership team
• Ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments
• Sound understanding of emerging trends in the tech and ecommerce industry
• Demonstrated ability to influence, develop and inspire teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills
• Exemplary interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members
• Ability to make decisions and understand commercial implications
• Ability to think strategically and plan on a mid to long term scale
• Entrepreneurial spirit with drive and ambition

Desirable:

• Ability to speak Mandarin/Cantonese
