Senior level Product Design (UI/UX) role. You’ll work on innovative HealthTech solutions, enabling patients to be cared for in the comfort of their own home.
You’ll work closely with a team of Solution Architects, Product Owners, Developers and Senior Engineers, in an Agile product environment.
You’ll join a high performing, customer-oriented team, working on market-leading, innovative products.
Melbourne-based is ideal, but also open to fully remote from anywhere East Coast Australia.
Role responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the broader Design team including the Lead Product Designer, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Clinical app specialists, Security, Product and Technology teams through all stages of product development including discovery, problem definition, ideation, rapid prototyping, and testing.
Facilitate customer interview workshops, ideation, prototyping, design review, and usability testing sessions if needed. Deliver workflows and designs that offer optimum experience, are effective, user-friendly, simple, and accessible within an established development sprint cycle.
Leverage competitor analysis and market research insights to uncover potential solutions for customer problems and make meaningful recommendations. Explore these through usability testing and prototypes. Document customer insights, workshop notes, personas, user journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototype designs.
Collaborate with development team frequently and iterate designs once more insights are discovered, and a designed functionality is tested
Develop and maintain effective documentation, contribute to standards, conventions, processes, templates, and frameworks relating to UX for the product, for e.g.: wireframes component libraries, design briefs etc.
Attend and contribute to established development sprint ceremonies.
Collaborate and actively contribute to the development of a Design community of practice.
Your Skills & Experience:
Senior level experience in product design with expertise across UX research, UX design and UI design in an Agile team environment.
Previous experience working in complex, large-scale and regulated organisations employing Lean UX and Design sprint processes to develop and deliver rapid prototypes
Experience working in cross functional agile teams with PO, business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to take design to development.
Proven experience in UX research and interaction design activities.
Accessibility-focused, with knowledge of WCAG guidelines
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to articulate design decisions with valid rationale.
Strong ability to balance beautiful, trend-forward aesthetics with practical user-friendly experiences and build functionality that support accessibility.
Proven ability to hit the ground running.
High attention to detail and consistently high-quality delivery of work.
Basic knowledge and understanding of programming concepts and languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for collaborating with developers and assisting with testing.
Experience of working across a range of operating systems and platforms such as native iOS/Android, browsers, desktop.
Experience with Atlassian product suite (desirable)
Experience with a range of visual communication platforms such as Figma, Miro, Mural etc.
Experience designing for solutions in the Healthcare industry vertical or familiar with the challenges and constraints of working in the health sector (Highly regarded)
