About the Role:
Reporting to the Product Capability Lead, you’ll be responsible for the planning and delivery of products, digital solutions and related improvements throughout their lifecycle and in response to strategic business priorities.
The autonomous role will suit someone energetic and articulate, a team player who is curious about making things fun and engaging for students.
You’ll lead multiple cross-functional product teams and manage the timely completion of release phases to ensure the achievement of strategic product goals and realisation of business value at each stage.
Role Responsibilities:
Contribute to strategic planning, scoping and implementation of products & digital solutions to support the achievement of business and university goals
Lead, plan and drive a product’s lifecycle strategy
Researching, analysing and interpreting the business context and user needs to develop and define the vision for the product
Monitoring the market for advancements and technology available to align with user needs over time
Building the roadmap for functionality, requirement and feature definition; clearly articulating the roadmap to stakeholders to ensure that the strategic goals are achieved and business value is realised at each stage
Provide cross-functional leadership to ensure the delivery of product release plans in accordance with timelines
Determine, manage and guide the prioritisation of product improvements
Provide strategic expert advice, informed feedback and champion the importance of adopting relevant practices, policies and standards
Initiate, develop and maintain strong partnerships and networks across the team, senior leaders, decision makers and stakeholder groups, to ensure the optimal delivery of system benefits and improvements, aligned with user needs
Your Skills & Experience:
Degree or above in computer science or software engineering or another relevant discipline
Knowledge of Salesforce and Google Cloud Platform
Extensive experience in managing the product lifecycle from idea conception to product launch
Ability to understand business priorities and user needs in a challenging environment
Strong understanding and ability to coordinate teams working in Lean and Agile environments, including management of dependencies
Outstanding planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities, allocating resources and meeting deadlines in a large, complex organisation
Outstanding relationship management and consulting skills
Ability to interact with, influence and negotiate with stakeholders
Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
Ability to conceptualise, develop and translate complex business issues into innovative, workable solutions
Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups and deliver engaging and informative presentations to a variety of audiences
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
