Senior UI Designer

Contract Length: 6 months (likely to extend)

Day Rate: $700-900

Working Arrangements: Hybrid

You’ll join this large financial institution based in Melbourne’s CBD, on a 6 month initial day rate contract.

The mature design department is structured like a design agency, you’ll join a close-knit design community with regular opportunities to collaborate, including design jams & workshops.

About the Role

Design and deliver key features within a flagship platform, providing transaction, claims & settlement views, reporting & analytics tools and self-service capabilities for customers.

Ensure improved customer satisfaction & NPS, fewer and more valuable calls to the service centre, and a higher uptake of digital products for existing customers.

Your Skills & Experience

· Produce high fidelity designs and prototypes in alignment with the existing design system and Accessibility standards

· Work collaboratively with development teams to support the production of design all the way through delivery

· Work closely with UX designers, Product Owners, BA’s and development teams Highly skilled in Sketch, Invision and Figma (preferred)

· Experience with Confluence and Microsoft suite

· Proficiency in high fidelity visual design and user interactions

· Strong understanding of design principles, accessibility standards, UI components, responsive design and grid systems

· Strong understanding of HTML/CSS

· Competent at stakeholder management with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders & needs at the same time

· Proactively manage workloads, expectations & tasks

· Bring confidence in self & design to advocate for the value of design & the solutions design brings

· Ability to work at pace on what is important

· Give and take critique with grace

· Collaborate with & Support team members

· Customer- and quality-focused
